Acrylic is an excellent material for making knife handles. Bright and colorful, resistant to scratches, unpretentious in relation to external environmental factors: temperature extremes, moisture, the influence of aggressive environments (acids, alkalis). Acrylic has excellent aging resistance compared to other plastics. It is more stable and heat-resistant even in comparison with such traditionally widely used material in knifemaking as polyester. It lends itself well to machining, grinding and polishing.
