Boride 900-F stone is an excellent abrasive stone for ultra-fine finishing of knife feeds.
Despite its relatively low grit value, declared by the manufacturer - 900 grit (the Boride 900-F stone is available in only one modification in terms of grit), the stone shows excellent results when finishing the cutting edge.
Despite the fact that in the recommendations from Boride on the use of this bar it is written that according to its main application - finishing the surface of molds - it works with relatively soft steels up to 32 Rc - this rather speaks not about the characteristics of the stone, but about the technological features of manufacturing molds and materials for them.
The soft bond of the Boride 900-F bar allows it to cope well with fairly hard steels of 58-62 units. Therefore, this stone can be safely recommended for the widest range of blades in terms of hardness of steels from the softest stainless steel to very hard high-alloy steels with a high carbon content.
The manufacturer unambiguously recommends using this stone only with one of its lubricants - SOZH.
