- the cut should be carried out as perpendicular as possible in the working surface of the mounting mat - cutting at an angle should be avoided;
- the mat must not be twisted or bent;
- you should avoid working on the mat at extremely low or high temperatures (working in the cold, working on the mat with a hairdryer, soldering iron, iron, etc.);
- it is necessary to avoid long-term exposure of the mounting mat to direct sunlight (the material of the mat can be destroyed by ultraviolet radiation);
- do not work on the mounting mat with chemical reagents, for example, with solvents or adhesives, which, if it gets on PVC, can damage it, you can wash the mat with soap and warm water.
