Musat

Musat is a dressing tool after sharpening knife blades.

Musat resembles a tool like a file, usually having a round or oval section (an oval section has the advantage of an effectively larger diameter with limited weight).

To restore the cutting edge after sharpening or using a knife, the blade is drawn along the musat, while the blade jams are straightened and the metal is partially removed. Unlike sharpening, editing with the help of musat consumes the material of the knife much more carefully and extends the life of the product.
