Shapton GlassStone Japanese Water Stones is the third generation water stone series from SHAPTON CO,.LTD, resulting from the improvement of the experience of using water stones and belongs to the range of premium sharpening stones. Many experts consider Shapton GlassStone stones to be the best ceramic and water stones in Japan. Shapton GlassStone has the usual working surface size of 210x70mm. However, the thickness of the stone is 5mm, plus the stone is pasted on tempered glass of the same thickness. The total thickness of the bar is 10mm.
The GlassStone series traditionally differs from the previous products of the SHAPTON company by a narrower range of abrasive grain sieving. The abrasive layer (5mm) is equipped with a precision flat glass base, which allows you to use all the material of the stone right up to the glass.
