Orange EDM

Orange - belongs to the category of EDM sharpeners, which also includes the popular Golden Star and AS-9 series. The abbreviation EDM means that these stones can be used for processing metal surfaces after electric spark cutting. In this case, the hardness of near-surface metal layers after electrospark processing can exceed 70HRC. It is for working on such materials that the Orange series is intended. The main recommendation for use is carbon steels. The Orange series is unimpregnated, open structure, requires soaking before use and is generally recommended for use with water or water soluble cutting oils.
