CS-HD - as well as the T2 and PC series, it is universal and is suitable for processing any knife steels. The main difference between the CS Boride series is the use of silicon carbide as an abrasive grain, while all other series use aluminum oxide. The CS-HD series has a high abrasive capacity, but a fairly soft bond. The CS-HD series is non-impregnated, open structure, requires soaking before use and is generally recommended for use with water or water soluble cutting fluids.
