Mineral oil Dan's Honing Oil is used as a cutting fluid (coolant) when sharpening on oil whetstones and Arkansas.

This oil should not be used in large quantities, just apply 1 drop of oil on the surface of a 150x25mm stone, or 2-3 drops on a larger stone and rub evenly over the abrasive. At the end of work, the oil can be easily removed with soapy water.
