NANIWA Lobster series stones are a new format of sharpening stones of the Multi or Economical Series Stone. While maintaining all the previous quality parameters of stones produced by NANIWA, Lobster is a new form factor in size. Because the Lobster series has a rather soft bond (so it works very aggressively and removes metal well), the small size of the previous series of stones was not very practical. In addition, the length of the stones at 210 mm is very convenient when working with large knives. And the thickness of the bars of 200 and 1000 grit in 30mm allows you to work on these stones for a long time, since these stones bear the main load during sharpening. The ratio of stone thicknesses of 200 and 1000 grit and 3000 grit (30 and 20 mm) leads to a uniform consumption of stones of different grain sizes.
NANIWA Lobster 220 grit stone is green, coarse-grained (average grain size is about 60 microns), works very aggressively and quickly. Designed for the middle stage of roughing operations, elimination of cutting edge defects (chips, notches), regrinding, initial formation of leads.
NANIWA Lobster series stones are an excellent choice for sharpening cutting tools in the kitchen or workshop. The NANIWA Lobster series perfectly combines the quality of NANIWA stones, the low cost and dimensions of full-sized water stones.
Alignment of stones, if necessary, can be done on glass on silicon carbide powder or with the help of cleaning stones. Before any use (sharpening, leveling), the stone must be soaked for 2-3 minutes.
