Gunny Glide is a revolutionary graphene/h-BN based lubricant designed to perform on all surfaces. Graphene and hexagonal boron nitride are two-dimensional materials one atom thick.
Graphene, a single layer of carbon atoms, is 200 times stronger than steel and has more lubricity than any known material. Graphene suspended in grease and applied to a surface will burn to that surface. It not only fills the pores or defects on the surface, but also polishes to become part of this surface in a sense. This allows the lubrication to get better the more the two parts slide over each other. Graphene provides excellent lubrication and surface wear protection. Gunny Glide also provides excellent corrosion protection.
Boron nitride is a thermally and chemically stable refractory compound of boron and nitrogen with the chemical formula BN. It exists in various crystalline forms that are isoelectronic to the carbon lattice of a similar structure. The hexagonal form corresponding to graphite is the most stable and softest of the BN polymorphs and is therefore used as a lubricant and food additive. The use of h-boron nitride increases the chemical stability of the product and also improves the lubricating properties.
What is the difference between Gunny Glide and other graphene lubricants? Graphene is usually simply added to a lubricant and shaking is required to suspend it for use. In Gunny Glide, a proprietary process helps keep the graphene suspended and creates a better environment for the graphene to spread evenly.
Gunny Glide keeps getting better with use. Works great on knife hinges, firearms, blade surfaces for corrosion protection and more. This is a truly versatile lubricant.
