Edge proPolishing film Edge Pro 3000 grit (yellow), self-adhesive.
Self-adhesive polishing films are ideally used for final superfinishing and polishing of the knife approach when extreme sharpening parameters, very high sharpness and increased resistance to blunting are required.
The films are made on the basis of aluminum oxide, have an extremely high abrasive ability due to the small amount of abrasive grain sieving and a relatively soft base. When working, large abrasive grains are embedded in the soft base and allow the smaller abrasive to also contact the metal and work. This provides the maximum possible number of cutting edges per unit area. A large number of cutting edges also increase the surface finish - polishing films work much finer and cleaner compared to hard-bond abrasives of similar grit. The polishing film is oil-water resistant, you can use any coolant for work, work "dry" is highly undesirable - this drastically reduces the working life of the abrasive film. When working with oil coolant, one film can withstand up to 10-15 sharpening cycles. To enhance the polishing effect of the approach, as well as to improve the performance of worn films, you can use Dialux pastes, applying them to the working surface of the films. Dialux Bleu is recommended for 6000 grit Edge Pro polishing film, either Dialux Blanc white or Dialux Bleu blue can be used for 2000 and 3000 grit films. The tape itself is glued without the slightest problem on the form (glass, aluminum) - just like it is removed. The most effective backing for Edge Pro polishing films is a glass blank glued to an aluminum blank. The glass blank provides a solid and even work surface, while the aluminum blank ensures secure fastening in the abrasive holder.
Edge Pro polishing films are very effective and provide a huge increase in sharpness and tool edge life.
