The advantages of using the Veritas Mk.II Narrow-Blade Honing Guide for narrow blades is that if you only work with narrow (up to 38mm) chisels, then purchase the standard modification of the Veritas Mk.II Standard Honing Guide model and plus the Veritas Narrow nozzle -Blade Clamp Head - will be significantly more expensive than all together.

Like the Veritas Mk.II Standard Honing Guide, the Veritas Mk.II Narrow-Blade Honing Guide consists of a clamping head for narrow blades, a standard roller base and an angle setting tool. The clamp head accepts blades from 3mm (1/8") to 38mm (1-1/2") wide. Like the Veritas Narrow-Blade Clamp Head, parallel cams are used to ensure the blades are perfectly orthogonal to the clamping fixture. The Veritas Mk.II Narrow-Blade Honing Guide utilizes a standard 51 mm (2 in) wide straight roller that provides sufficient support for even the narrowest blades.
