Grinding Japanese stone Suehiro Debado 320 grit on a blank 163x25x3mm.
The top line of DEBADO sharpening stones from the well-known manufacturer of sharpening stones from Japan Suehiro Co., Ltd is the latest development of this company, the brightest, breaking the stereotypes about Japanese water stones as soft sharpening bars that quickly lose their geometry. The DEBADO series was able to combine seemingly completely opposite qualities in one stone - high hardness of the bond and a record-breaking abrasive ability at that time. DEBADO sharpeners have successfully developed a range of extreme sized stones that combine exceptional edge resistance with ultra-high performance.
The DEBADO stone line is the result of many years of painstaking research and experiments, which made it possible to realize a phenomenally narrow range of abrasive grain sieving and, as a result, a high density and uniformity of abrasive particles on the working surface. The technology has also been improved to realize the ideal microstructure of the abrasive stone bond material inherent in SUEHIRO products. The implementation of this technology makes it possible to obtain an extremely thin and at the same time extremely homogeneous capillary structure of the inter-abrasive space. In addition, the resulting capillary structure is impregnated with a special inter-abrasive impregnation, which makes the stone practically non-absorbent for moisture. This further improves the consumer qualities of the stone, resistance to abrasion, and also eliminates the loss of the geometry of the stone in contact with water, allows you to start working with the stone without pre-soaking, simply by wetting the surface of the stone.
The DEBADO series has a very hard bond, but still softer than other series, because in the roughing and sharpening phase, the performance of the process is more important than the surface finish class.
