Vintage Carborundum. We are glad to offer you a rare guest in our area - a vintage Corborundum. As the name implies, the abrasive grain is silicon carbide. A set of two stones for the 152x25mm apexoid format is sawn from the original model 109S bar, the grain of which is designated as Fine and Coarse, which correspond to the line of the most popular Norton Crystolon stones in terms of their abrasive ability. The thickness of the bar with Fine grain is 9mm, the thickness of the bar with Coarse grit is 10.50mm. The stones are not glued to the blanks, they have two (both finished and completely ready for use) working sides. Both oil and water can be used as cutting fluid for Carborundum stones. With oil, the stone works thinner, more uniform and more comfortable.
